AfriCAN Climate is an interactive knowledge platform, providing targeted scientific research, indigenous knowledge and policies related to climate change in Africa.

AfriCAN Climate provides information about research projects, reviews of publications, good practice cases of climate change mitigation and adaptation projects, links, tools and more.

AfriCAN Climate is a project co-funded by the European Commission within the 7th Framework Programme. The project was set up by a team of 5 African and 5 European organisations, including research institutes and dissemination networks, and runs from October 2011 to September 2014.

Join the Portal

AfriCAN Climate is an open public forum and depends upon your participation and contribution.

On the portal you can share your knowledge about research topics of your interest, highlight relevant publications, projects and events; you can exchange ideas with other AfriCAN users and create new groups for networking and discussion.

The AfriCAN community is open to all interested researchers, practitioners, policy makers, NGOs, students, associations and climate change experts. We look forward to meeting you on http://africanclimate.net and to exchange ideas and experience on how to mitigate and adapt to the effects of climate change in Africa.
